I’m John Clement—better known as D.C.—an athletic development specialist based at Self Made Training Facility in Orange. I specialize in strength and conditioning, speed and agility, power development, powerlifting, corrective exercise, pain management, and total athletic performance.
My training helps clients not only build their dream physique through athletic performance, but also develop elite-level athleticism—whether you’re an adult trying to unlock your inner athlete, or a youth athlete chasing a D1 future.
But I didn’t start here. In high school, I couldn’t even bench 65 lbs. I was decently athletic but far from elite. I failed more times than I can count in my pursuit of becoming a better athlete. I was skinny, underpowered, and often overlooked. But I committed to the grind. I trained relentlessly to build strength, speed, explosiveness, and confidence. Today, I’ve become one of the strongest, most explosive coaches in the area—and now I help others do the same.
Everything I’ve learned, I now channel into my clients.

Hi, I’m Justin Land, and I’m proud to be a personal trainer here at Self Made Training Facility. With over 12 years of training experience, I’m committed to helping others transform their lives, just as I did mine and many clients.
My journey into fitness began at 18. Growing up, I struggled with my weight and was often bullied for being the “chubby” kid. I attended several schools, facing harsh bullying, and I never felt confident in my own skin. For years, I believed that change was impossible—that I was just stuck being who I was. But eventually, I had had enough. I made the decision to take control of my life, and it became the best choice I’ve ever made.
I dove into bodybuilding, losing all my fat and gaining 25 pounds of muscle in a short amount of time. At 20, I competed in my first bodybuilding competition, and the discipline and results fueled my passion even further. From there, I became obsessed with powerlifting, although I never competed, I pushed myself to continually improve my strength and technique.
My journey didn’t stop there. Always interested in self-defense due to my childhood experiences, I transitioned into MMA. Despite being intimidated at first, I pushed past my fears and, just six months later, had my first fight. Although I didn’t win, the experience ignited a fire in me, and I went on to earn a 4-2 record in the ring, all while learning valuable self-defense techniques along the way.
Today, I bring a diverse background in fitness and training, but it’s the systems I’ve developed in nutrition, strength training, and self-defense that truly set my approach apart. I’m a walking, breathing testament that if I can transform my life, so can anyone. It doesn’t matter where you start; if you’re committed to making a change, I’m here to help you get there.
I specialize in working with beginners and busy professionals, helping them achieve their fitness goals and get in the best shape of their lives within 90 days. Originally from Alabama and now based in Orange County, I am dedicated to helping motivated individuals become the best athletes they can be. I hold certifications from NASM in stretching and flexibility, personal training, corrective exercises, and integrated balance training. Additionally, I am a Double-Goal Coach and CPR/AED certified.
My inspiration comes from ensuring every athlete I help achieves their goals by providing them with every possible resource and the knowledge I’ve gained from 24 years of involvement in athletics. My background includes football, baseball, soccer, and track and field. For example, I offer in person or online training ranging from 1-5 days a week, hybrid training which is a combination of in person and online training, or semi private training of groups of 2!

Hey! My name is Luke Ream. Exercise and Fitness has been life changing for me not only physically, but mentally. I love helping people experience similar transformations that boost their confidence and help them make progress inside and outside of the gym.
I’m 10 years into my transition from female to male and it was fitness and weight-lifting that helped me appreciate my body not only for what it looked like but for what it was capable of. After reaching these results I knew that I wanted to help others achieve their health and fitness goals and to help them transform themselves into the best versions yet. I have been helping others in the gym for over a decade and officially became certified as a personal trainer in 2023. I have been a martial arts instructor for over 3 years teaching people from 3 years old to 80 years old. During this time I have also worked with people from a wide range of physical and mental disabilities and have helped them gain confidence and make progress toward their health goals at their own pace. Since becoming a trainer I’ve been able to help my clients lose pounds of fat and gain strength.
My first client, Veronica, a busy working mom, has lost over 145lbs on her fitness journey and is now smaller and stronger than she was in high school! Another client, Amy, a working mom of 4, has lowered her blood pressure and stress, after sticking to a consistent health program.
